America's Army is a series of games designed as both recruitment and training tools for the United States Army. They are created to be semi-realistic representations of the armed forces. The games are funded by the government and released for free on various platforms such as the PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation3 and mobile devices.

Colonel Casey Wardynski, who conceived the original game, envisioned "using computer game technology to provide the public a virtual Soldier experience that was engaging, informative and entertaining." The PC version 1.0, subtitled Recon, was first released on July 4, 2002. Since then, there have been over 26 versions released, the most recent being America's Army 3.3. All versions have been developed on the Unreal Engine and use PunkBuster to try to prevent cheating.

The newest edition, America's Army: Proving Grounds, is out on Steam in beta.
