Strategy[edit | edit source]
Shadowstep offers more cover and routes than most other BDX maps - strategic play here is a game of angles and calculated risk for both sides. Assault must grab the Guidon Flag and extract near the Defense Team's insertion; securing the Guidon is best done early, so Assault can keep Defense guessing or react to where Defense is strongest. Given so many routes and positions to watch, Defense is best off when the bulk of the team secures and maintains positions of overwatch, where they can effectively call out Assault movements and engage with an elevation advantage.
